Doorkeeper is a service offered by Doorkeeper Inc a company registered in Japan and abiding to Japanese laws. The formal Privacy Policy written in Japanese takes precedence over this one, which is provided as convenience for the English speaking community.

This Privacy Policy describes doorkeeper's policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your information. We receive your information through our web sites, APIs and third-parties ("Services"). When using any of our Services you consent to the collection, transfer, manipulation, storage, disclosure and other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

Information about You

To register an account we only ask for your credentials.

In order to join any of the event communities we host, additional information may be required, depending on the event organizers' requirements. This usually includes a valid email address and your name in order to identify you at the door and to be able to contact you.

When signing up or attending an event, we collect additional information relevant for the event organizers to manage the event, such as when you signed up or checked in.

Retention and Deletion

Upon your request, we will deactivate your account and remove your personally identifiable information from our active databases. Upon our receipt of your request, we will deactivate your account and remove your personally identifiable information as soon as reasonably possible. Nonetheless, we will retain in our files information you may have requested us to remove if, in our discretion, retention of the information is necessary to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems or to enforce the Terms of Service. Furthermore, your information is never completely removed from our databases due to technical and legal constraints (for example, we will not remove your information from our back up storage).

Other Information

Our servers automatically record information ("Log Data") created by your use of the Services. Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type, the referring domain, and pages visited.

Like many sites on the web, we use "Cookies" to store information in your browser. The purpose of those Cookies is to identify you after you logged into our web sites.

Third Party Services

We use Google Analytics to help understand use of our Services. Google Analytics collects the information sent by your browser as part of a web page request to their service. Please review Google's Privacy Policy for their use of this information.

Information Sharing

With the event organizers of any event community you joined, we share the following information: the Personal Information you provided to us; your intent to attend an event; whether or not you attended (if the event organizers use our service for check in). Each event community may have it's own Event Community Privacy Policy which governs their use of this information.

Further, we may disclose your information if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security or technical issues; or to protect our rights or property.

Besides the points given here, we will not disclose your Personal Information.

Changes to this Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a change to this policy that, in our sole discretion, is material, a change notice will be published on this site. By continuing to access or use the Services after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
